DEFIB Installation
May 2023
Largs Colts were honoured to receive a significant donation from the Scott family to purchase and install a defibrillator at our Bowencraig facility.
The donation was made by the family in memory of friend of the club Derek Scott who sadly passed away in late December of 2022.

The DEFIB will service the south side of the town as well as our own facility and will be maintained by the Largs First Responder group.

AS Lawn Care
March 2021
In March 2021 our new grounds keeper started a program of improvement works on our pitches.
Works include cutting, aeration as well too dressing and over seeding to help improve the sod.
The first lines of the year were laid using robotic technology to get the pitches marked out perfectly.
For information on AS Lawn Care or to see more photographs of the work they do for us at Bowencraig follow the link below to their Facebook page.
Community Asset Transfer (Update)
January 2021
As part of our commitment to improve the facilities at Bowencraig we have a number of announcements.

Early this month new goals were installed on the pitches. Permanent 11 and 7 aside goals allow the teams to spend less time setting up pitches and more time with the children. For the first time we will also be able to play 9 aside football as we also purchased fold away 9 aside goals. This would not have been possible without the help of those in the community especially Arnott & Bryce Fencing Ltd and Henry Brown & Co.

We also issued a tender out to ground maintenance companies in the local and surround areas to provide services to us for the coming year. We are pleased to announce that AS Lawn Care were our preferred contractor and they are looking forward to starting work on the pitches in March.

To keep football sustainable within the community we are looking for the support of the residents of Largs and further afield by means of a Sports Lottery. Funding from this helps us pay for monthly maintenance as well as future projects. Have a look at the Sports Lottery Page.
